I never wanted a tattoo, but I respect and understand them (just not for my children or me!). There are various reasons people get them, but permanence has always been a deterrent. I have previously told the story of a high school friend who tattooed the Michael Jordan Flight logo on his arm; I assume he still loves Michael Jordan, I still do, but does he need (or still want) to have him on his arm for the world to see???
